At Anacapa Dental Art Institute, our top priority is creating a pleasant, comfortable experience for every single patient. We're excited to welcome you to our practice and will do all we can to make you feel at home while you are with us. When you arrive for your appointment, you'll be greeted by a friendly face at reception. Then you'll be given all the time and attention you need by the rest of our compassionate team. Alexandra Prado on What to Expect With Your Care at Anacapa Dental Art Institute

We like to make our patients comfortable by giving them options. We have all types of sedation for those that fear the dentist or who have extensive needs. We answer all our patient's questions, and really listen to them. When the treatment is done, we want to help with anxiety around financing. We genuinely care for our patients.

Director of Operations

Jessica has worked in dentistry since 2005 and has been part of our team since 2020. She creates a welcoming environment for staff and patients where they’re in capable and caring hands. The best part of her job is being part of a patient's dental journey and witnessing their transformation toward a happier, healthier lifestyle. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring new coffee shops, and traveling.
Sonia

Sonia

Office Manager

Sonia has managed several dental offices across Ventura and Los Angeles County. She prides herself in creating the best atmosphere for her doctors, team, and patients. She has volunteered for multiple non-profit organizations, including the Special Olympics, Casa Hogar, and Kaboom, which helps build playgrounds for underprivileged communities. You can often find her planning or hosting events in her free time.

Marketing

Yomaly has been working in customer service since the age of 15. She has been our marketing director since 2021. Making patients feel well cared for, as if they were family, is not only her goal but also her passion. A very involved mother of three daughters, she loves participating in their softball events and is their number one fan. She also enjoys exploring new restaurants with friends and family.

Administration

Ashley joined our practice in 2020. She likes being able to convert an initial phone call into an appointment for care. She enjoys witnessing the positive transformations of our patients and the satisfaction they achieve. Outside of work, quality family time is important to Ashley, especially traveling and attending her kids' sports activities. She also has a passion for baking and loves designing and decorating sugar cookies.

Alexandra’s roles in the dental profession have included receptionist and dental benefits coordinator. She has a passion for helping patients obtain healthy and beautiful smiles. She offers patients support throughout their dental journey by assisting them with the benefits process. Outside of work, she devotes her time to raising three beautiful children, whom she loves very much.

Pedro

Treatment Coordinator

Pedro has been a valuable part of our team since 2024. He loves seeing the difference a new smile makes in someone’s life, and it's rewarding helping patients through their dental anxiety. Pedro spends most of his weekends with his wife and 2-year-old, either hiking, going out, or relaxing at the beach. He enjoys being outdoors and making the most of their family time.

Alexsa has worked in the dental industry since 2020, joining our team in 2023. The best part of her job is being able to make a difference in a person's smile and health. She likes getting to know the patient for who they are and not just their teeth. Alexsa enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, exploring new scenery, finding new places to eat, working out at the gym, and dancing.
Brooke

Registered Dental Hygienist

Brooke became part of our team in 2024, but she has worked in the dental field since 2017. Her passion is helping patients overcome their dental anxiety, receive great smile care, and enjoy a positive experience with us. She teaches patients about preventive dental care and helps them smile confidently. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her spouse, who serves in the military, and her stepson. She also has two crazy dogs, loves plants, and is an avid reader.

Darlene

Dental Hygienist

A 1992 graduate of Cerritos College, Darlene trained in hygiene at UCLA School of Dentistry and the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. She enjoys helping patients improve their smiles and their oral health. She also loves working with the Anacapa team. Her favorite pastimes include working out, walking her dog, going to the movies, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Lead Registered Dental Assistant

Laura has been an RDA for many years. She finds working for Dr. Jivraj educational and inspirational, seeing that he takes the time to teach her new techniques. She credits him with an advancement in her skills. She enjoys helping patients alongside Dr. Jivraj, as she knows they will walk away smiling. Her hobbies include going to the gym, fishing, and hiking.

I was my lucky day:) after crossing the threshold of Anacapa I felt at home. I couldn't believe it but the Dr. took my dentures and fixed them, so just saw my desperation saw me , not only my money. the tears poured into my eyes by themselves. After this we talked about options, yes, it's a lot of money, but it's worth it. Today I have lower fixed dentures and love them.
